where time worked differently

Initially exhibited in Kyiv, Ukraine at the UART MEDIA FEST on the largest outdoor LED screen in Europe (at the time), Where Time Worked Differently is an ethereal dreamscape that merges digital and physical realms.

A year later in 2025, the work was selected by the City of Orlando for a 3-month long public art installation at Art² pocket park in downtown Orlando, Florida. I retrofitted the footage to fit one large outdoor LED screen in the park.

The audiovisual installation blends 3D modeling and animation with poetry handwritten in English and Ukrainian alongside footage of physical sculptures created from clay, repurposed waste, and found objects. Where Time Worked Differently transports audiences to higher dimensions free from war and trauma, instead defined by vibrant auras and universal harmony.

The title is eponymous with the handwritten text of the installation. On a personal note, the phrase “Where Time Worked Differently” was buried within the dense binder containing my psychiatric records, which I only have access to because of the past lawsuit against my abusive father. Thus, I artistically reclaimed these words to advocate for peace on a grand scale.
