Here We Are

Panpsychist conceptions of consciousness inspired this video poem. You may be wondering: what exactly does ‘panpsychist conceptions of consciousness’ entail? The term is an umbrella notion in philosophy hypothesizing that consciousness (i.e. mentality or mind-like traits) extends everywhere within physical reality. Here We Are contemplates that “cloud meadows” as well as “plants and machines” are “friends” as a consequence of this potentiality.

With its catchy electronic soundscape, handwritten moving text, and kaleidoscopic artwork, Here We Are embodies notions of universal interconnectedness and rhythmic appreciation.

The video poem debuted at New Media Artspace at Baruch College (CUNY) in 2023 and was later exhibited in The Wrong Biennale 7th Edition (2025-2026) in the Transient Info pavilion.
